I haven't had a lot of time lately to work on my piano that is currently taking up space in the shop. I did get some work done on the soundboard recently though. Opened up several cracks and shimmed them with spruce shims. This will make the century old soundboard stronger. 
I already did several coats of stain and poly on the case. I was anxious to see how the stain I chose would look. It's turning out great! 
Here's a photo (below) of before and after finish, with a part of the lid that still has the old aged finish on it.

The small grand piano in the picture is the 1905 Brambach grand piano that is currently in the shop in the process of a complete rebuild. It is one of my two pianos and because of that it is taking an extra long time. My wife keeps asking when "her" piano will be back in the music room! She just loves how it looks with the lid up with all the windows in that room.
